Attorneys

Holly Simpson

Attorney / Owner

Holly is passionate about absorbing information and genuinely loves learning about people and their life stories. This thirst for knowledge led her down the road of becoming licensed as a marriage and family therapist, where she worked for 12 years helping families navigate various life challenges. Her curiosity led her next to attend law school, where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class. Holly was the only class member at graduation to have a loud cheering section composed of her husband and their six children (ages 11-21 at the time)!

Recognizing the importance of ensuring her own large family would be provided for in the case of her own incapacity or death, Holly feels driven to ensure that others are similarly protected.

Holly started Simpson Law Firm because she wanted to create a premier Estate Planning Firm that was unique and stood apart from the pack. Her main strategies were to 1) Call clients back (attorneys are notoriously bad at this), 2) Treat clients with as much kindness as they receive at Chick-fil-A (my pleasure!), 3) Provide outstanding, smart, efficient legal services so that families can protect their assets and their loved ones. With plenty of elbow grease and some great mentors, Holly is accomplishing her goals with the help of the most amazing Attorneys and outstanding law firm staff in all of North and South Carolina (and no, she wasn’t forced to say this!). Simpson Law Firm continues to grow and strives to be the kindest and largest premiere estate law firm in the Carolinas.

Some of Holly’s remaining life ambitions include keeping pace with her middle-aged half marathon running, pickle ball playing mom friends, enjoying her grandkids while pretending she’s not really old enough to be a “grandma,” enjoying the teenagers she volunteers with at her church and seeing a few more ‘80s bands and/or Dolly Parton live in concert before it is too late.

Megan Lai

Managing Estate Planning Attorney

If you find yourself asking, the answer is: yes, that may have been your attorney parading around your neighborhood with a five-year-old in crudely made cardboard crowns; that was probably her getting a little too into it at that concert at the Fillmore last weekend; that was definitely her cackling laughter echoing through the halls when you first entered the office.

An Ohio native, Megan graduated from Kent State University with her bachelor's degree in Art History and survived working full time while attending the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law to obtain her law degree. As our managing estate planning attorney, Megan prides herself on helping Simpson Law Firm provide better service for our clients and their families each day than the last. When we've got a tough question, we call on Megan for an answer. And it will be the right one. Above all, she firmly believes that coming to understand who her clients are and how they envision their legacy is the key to planning for their loved ones’ future.

Megan is licensed in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, and New Mexico. When she's not working with her clients, Megan can be found roaming our halls like a golden retriever when things seem just a little too calm and low-key to see where her extrovert energy can make the biggest ripple. While we do our best at the tall task of keeping her humble, she does her part by exceeding her fair share of self-deprecating jokes.

Megan enjoys spending her free time exploring museums with her husband, attending every concert she is physically able to, and trying to figure out what it means to be a basketball mom, since soccer wasn't her son’s forte.

J. Therron Causey

Attorney

Therron is a North Carolina native and graduate of both Catawba College and Elon University School of Law. During his time at Elon Law, he enjoyed serving on the Moot Court Board and welcomed the challenge of conducting legal research, drafting appellate briefs, engaging in oral argument, and moving Elon Law to its first ever National Competition before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia.

Therron is also a Navy veteran and father of three. He enjoys spending time outside of work with his lovely wife and growing family. If he’s not racing or wrestling with his kids around the house, he’s usually looking to run a local 5k race or saddle up for a long bike ride on the greenway. Other activities of interest include visiting the local splash pad, hiking at state parks, and eating Japanese Hibachi!

His early years of legal practice took him all across the great state of North Carolina where he successfully tried cases in nearly a dozen separate counties. He has argued matters on appeal and served at the pleasure of the Clerk of Court in Mecklenburg County as a Guardian ad Litem for guardianship related matters.

Licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina, Therron’s attention to detail and innate ability to read between the lines are major contributors to his success as an estate planning and elder law attorney. At all times, he seeks to build a relationship of trust and create a positive experience for clients and prospective clients alike.

Katherine Pennant

Attorney

Katherine Pennant joined Simpson Law Firm as our Probate Manager while her South Carolina Bar license was pending. Prior to moving to the Carolinas to obtain her law degree (where she also met her now-husband), Katherine obtained an undergraduate degree in criminal justice at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas (Go Swedes!).

She earned her master's degree in justice policy from University of Texas-San Antonio, where she researched and published her thesis on white-collar crime sentencing practices. While in graduate school, she worked as a legal assistant for a family law firm. After graduate school, she worked as a corrections officer in Shawnee County, Kansas. These experiences have given her a more realistic perspective on how law and life intersect.

Katherine is passionate about helping families navigate through the administration of their loved ones’ estates. Losing a loved one is difficult enough: Katherine works tirelessly to make sure estate administration doesn’t have to be!

Katherine lives with her husband and young children in Charlotte, NC. She enjoys time with family and friends, working out, and working on their home.

Jess Brashear

Attorney

Jess was born and raised in Florida. After she obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida, Jess decided to work in the legal field as a paralegal. She had always dreamed of becoming an attorney but knew law school would be expensive, so she wanted to ensure she truly enjoyed the profession before taking the leap.

Jess attended North Carolina Central University, where she gained as much hands-on experience in Elder Law as possible, participating in Elder Law Clinics and interning for a law firm that focused on estate planning and estate administration during her last year of law school. Each of those opportunities further cemented her passion and desire to pursue a career in Elder Law. Now, licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina, Jess is more than thrilled to help families plan for their future and assist with administrating a loved one’s estate.

Jess believes the practice of Elder Law requires both compassion and individual attention. She understands there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to planning for the future because each family is unique. Therefore, Jess strives to provide each client with personalized, one-on-one attention to meet their needs. No matter the clients’ needs, she will be there every step of the way to help guide them through unfamiliar territory with compassion and support.

Jess lives with her wonderful husband in Mount Holly, NC and is a proud dog momma to her two Boston Terrier puppies. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Jess also enjoys hiking, going to the lake, and will be the first to admit that she may have an unhealthy obsession with true crime podcasts.

Estate Administration

Jessie Hammond

Estate Administration Director / People Pleaser

Jessie, a North Carolina native, is a mother of two girls and a lover of all things quirky and eccentric. When she's not busy being a super paralegal and super mom, Jessie can be found chasing waterfalls in the mountains and finding new adventures on which to take her family.

As a paralegal, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. Jessie received her associate degree in paralegal studies from Central Piedmont Community College and has been working in the legal field since 2016. During this time, she gained extensive experience in both bankruptcy and estate administration firms. What Jessie enjoys most about practicing law is building relationships with clients; she believes that understanding their needs and concerns is essential to providing the best possible legal support. She takes pride in her ability to communicate effectively and establish trust with her clients, and she looks forward to continuing to do so in the future.

But that’s not all- Jessie is a sociable and lively individual with a passion for hula hooping, eagerly sharing her enthusiasm with others. A devoted music aficionado, Jessie adores attending concerts, aligning perfectly with her love for hula hooping. Her favorite color, rainbow, mirrors her vibrant nature. Although she can't currently own a pet, her affection for animals remains unwavering.

All in all, Jessie is a fun-loving, adventurous, and colorful soul who spreads joy wherever she goes. Her infectious energy and love for life make her a true gem of North Carolina.

Kimberly McManus

Paralegal / Legal Eagle

Kimberly did not choose the legal field: it chose her. After 21 years of serving Mecklenburg County’s District Attorney’s Office, she brought her many talents to Simpson Law firm. “Why?” some might ask. She would respond “Why not? Who wouldn’t want to work with the Greatest Estate Firm in York County serving the best people from NC and SC?” She enjoys getting to work and speaking with her clients on a regular basis. Naturally a people person, she enjoys hearing clients laugh, sometimes through their tears, even when going through a tough period in their lives.

When Kimberly isn’t being our legal eagle, you can find her catching a sporting event (Go Braves, Go Panthers, Go Tarheels!) or trying out any number of new technological devices.  Kimberly has a soft spot for animals and loves her family! As a local unicorn, she is one of the few born and raised in Charlotte. Her 2nd love is for all things tech, with family always being 1st.

Valeria Gallo

Paralegal / Cooking Counsel

Valeria Gallo is a resolute lawyer licensed to practice in Argentina and a proud paralegal with Simpson Law Firm. She brings a unique blend of professional ability, personal commitment, and a passion for creating meaningful connections to the table.

In her role at Simpson Law Firm, she has had the privilege of serving a diverse range of clients, supplying comprehensive legal solutions tailored to meet their unique needs.

Valeria is a proud mother of three wonderful children and a great wife. Her family is her anchor, and the values of love, dedication, and balance that she upholds in her personal life seamlessly translate into her professional endeavors.

In her personal life, Valeria finds her joy in the kitchen. As a chef in her free time, she takes pleasure in preparing delicious meals for her entire family. Cooking is not just a hobby for her; it's a form of creative expression and a way to bring people together. Valeria’s passion for hosting and entertaining extends through all facets of her life, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie for clients and colleagues alike.

Like her colleagues, Valeria understands that legal matters are deeply personal, affecting all aspects of your life; that’s why Valeria commits herself to providing expert legal guidance with a delicate touch that acknowledges the unique circumstances and emotions involved in every case.

Bre Copas

Intern / Rock'n'roll Rookie

Bre is thrilled to join the Simpson Law Firm team as our Legal Intern, where she is eager to contribute her skills and learn from experienced professionals in the industry. Bre, a North Carolina native, is a second-year paralegal studies student at CPCC. Her academic pursuits have instilled her with a passion for the legal field, and she is excited to apply her learning in a real-world setting.

Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Bre enjoys hiking and bike riding, spending time with family, and traveling when she can. She and her family are music lovers, and Bre grew up learning to play many instruments, including the clarinet, saxophone, piano, and guitar. She also loves going to 70s rock concerts with her dad (who is a major 70s rock fan). Bre hopes to grow in the legal field and one day become a criminal law paralegal.

Rick Solomon

Legal Assistant / Retro Rick

Rick is excited to join our team as a legal assistant after working for four years as a corporate secretary for a merchandise and branding company. As a hobbyist retro gamer, he is well-versed in Gameboy Pokémon classics and always prefers them over their modern 3D counterparts.

When he is not immersed in the world of retro gaming, Rick can often be found indulging in one of his favorite pastimes: watching random cat videos. Despite never having a feline companion of his own, he finds endless joy in the antics of these internet sensations.

Rick’s adventurous spirit extends beyond the virtual world. He spends his longer weekends on spontaneous motorbike rides or out-of-town trips, seeking new experiences and thrills: one of his most memorable adventures was swimming with sharks off Tioman Island, Malaysia.

Claire de la Cruz

Legal Assistant / Saltwater Spirit

Claire is a Juris Doctor from the Philippines with a unique blend of intellect and adventure. She navigates the complexities of the legal world as a seasoned Paralegal with a passion for justice. When the workday ends, she becomes a thrill seeker – whether she’s plunging into the depths of the ocean as a certified freediver and a scuba diver, shredding surf breaks, or chasing the rush of a hidden waterfall, she’s always on the go for her next adventure.

Outside of the courtroom and the rush of her adventures, she will always have a soft spot for her two cats.

Intake

Karen Davis

Client Intake Director / High-heeled Granny

Karen grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia where she met her husband while attending West Virginia University. She has dedicated her life to family and faith, homeschooling her children before returning to work. After returning to work, Karen found success at a personal injury law firm and fell in love with helping people affected by the DuPont C8 case, the case on which the movie “Dark Waters” was based.  She truly enjoyed hearing their stories, making connections, and helping her clients. Karen is excited to apply her skills and provide a high level of customer service to our Estate Planning Clients.

She and her husband moved to the Charlotte area in 2022 to be closer to their first grandchild, successfully transitioning from Baby Boomers to Baby Chasers. When not spending time with family, Karen and her husband enjoy creating etched glass art. Karen loves wearing high heels! In fact, while remodeling her new home, she added a shoe wall for easier access to all her high heels!

Beth Bromham

Client Intake Specialist / The Brit

Beth has a background in Occupational Psychology (the psychology of work), and having researched many different organizations, she has learnt about particular core values that make a company likely to succeed.  She is excited to be part of a friendly and caring team with kindness, fun, and excellence as central values. She is a natural at welcoming new clients and equipping them with all they need to ensure a smooth delivery of service.

Beth grew up in the rolling hills of Northamptonshire in the heart of England and never imagined that she would one day immigrate to the USA. When an opportunity came for her husband to relocate to Fort Mill, South Carolina, they took the courageous step to bring their two young daughters at the time to start an adventure that has been nothing short of the best decision ever.

Over the past decade of living here, Beth has really enjoyed traveling with her family to experience a little of what this diverse and incredible nation has to offer. From the depths of Hell’s Kitchen to the heights of the red rocks of Sedona, from the clear waters of 30a in Florida to the cobbled streets of Boston, the USA has it all.

Beth is now a Clemson mom, and as the kids move on, she is glad she still has her adorable goldendoodle, to take on long hikes with her husband.  She is a member of three book clubs and has a tall pile of books at her bedside to make sure she never stops learning about people through their stories. She also likes playing tennis and eating dinner outside, as it was rarely warm enough to do either in the UK!

Closing Team

Katherine Arnette

Closing Team Director / Mountain Mama

Katherine Arnette has been a resident of the Carolinas most of her life and has lived in Fort Mill for the last 19 years. She has worked as a Legal Assistant in several areas of law and now enjoys assisting our attorneys with providing customer service to our Estate Planning Clients. Katherine creates a mean spreadsheet (we call this job security, since they look too difficult to recreate!), and she is essential in getting all our client binders and documents prepared for our client signings.

Katherine is a graduate from East Carolina University with a degree in Merchandising with minors in Business Administration and Marketing. She is married with two college-age kids both at the University of South Carolina. She loves being an empty nester, going to Gamecocks Football Games, supporting her husband as he runs 100-mile races and spending time in the mountains (you may find her sneaking out early on a Friday if the mountains are calling). Now, if she could just get her kids graduated from college (one down, two to go!), she could afford to travel!

Kate Feldman

Paralegal / Disney Princess

Kate is the rare person who sat for jury duty and loved it! She counted down the years, and when she felt her children were old enough to handle it, she went back to school and earned a certificate in paralegal studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She works as a Paralegal in our Estate Planning Department and loves making sure people’s final wishes are honored.

Kate lives in Fort Mill with her two boys and two Mini Aussie Shepherds. It is never quiet in her house, and you can often find her daydreaming of the beach. Kate has an incredible sense of humor, and it is never boring when she is around. If you look carefully, you may see a photograph of Kate that often travels from room to room watching over us! She loves going to concerts, reading, running (not really, who does?), and taking Disney trips.

Julie Waldrop

Legal Assistant / Tiny Dancer

Julie is excited to become the most recent member of the Simpson Law Firm family! Hailing from the scenic vistas of eastern North Carolina and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Julie has pirouetted her way through life to now land in the bustling hub of Ballantyne in South Charlotte with her loving husband of 23 years.

A former professionally trained dancer who once graced the stages of Miss North Carolina and other preliminary pageants, Julie knows a thing or two about performing under pressure - skills that should definitely come in handy when navigating the often complex legal world!

Since trading her dance shoes for a teacher’s cap in 2008, Julie dedicated the last 15 years of her life to meticulously choreographing the education of her awesome 20-year-old son, a now-thriving college junior at CSU in Charleston. During her teaching tenure, Julie also held the director's position for a large troupe of homeschool students and families in Fort Mill and Rock Hill with the grace and precision of a seasoned educator, which was already deeply embedded in her DNA. But just like any great stage performance, there comes a time for a scene change!

Stepping into her second act, Julie joins Simpson Law Firm as a legal assistant, ready to bring her warm, detail-oriented, and empathetic nature to the forefront of her work. Known for her love of people and a natural talent for assisting others with their personal needs, Julie is excited to learn the ropes of law and is committed to ensuring both the Simpson Law Firm staff and all of its clients receive service worthy of a standing ovation!

Haven Swanson

Legal Assistant / Novel Loving Nomad

That girl wandering Barnes & Noble, holding an iced latte, pointing out books that she’s read and loves? It’s probably Haven. Don’t worry. She’s not going to buy them; her list is too long as is.

Haven has always been a nomad— hiking the mountains while studying English Literature at UNC Asheville, learning to surf and make acai bowls on the island of Oahu, wandering both Indianapolis and Charlotte through her formative years, and most recently surviving the concrete jungle of Dallas (McKinney), Texas.

Through her time straddling various personal and professional worlds, from the field of elder law to your local coffee shop, Haven has collected all sorts of stories from strangers turned friends. And she’s excited to gather more! Her ceaseless passion for helping others and willingness to go the extra mile to provide her colleagues and clients peace of mind means you may be swapping stories with Haven (and making new ones) in no time if you visit our office!

Marketing

Melissa Thibodeau

Marketing Director / Mama T

After 20 years of raising and homeschooling 4 children, Melissa knows how to get things done with fun! In 2019, she re-entered the workforce with one caveat in her employment agreement: ‘The fridge must be stocked with Redi-Whip for her morning coffee.’  As Simpson Law Firm’s oldest employee (and no, we aren’t referring to her age!), she combined her bachelor’s and master’s degrees with her “odds and sods” skills to work as our Client Services and Marketing Manager. She is the backbone of our office, serving our clients with a compassionate and friendly demeanor, putting our clients at ease, and giving them the confidence to know they have made the right choice when planning with us! Melissa and her team excel in offering the best customer service with kindness and efficiency, welcoming all our clients into the Simpson Law Firm Family.

Melissa and her amazing husband have been married for 30 years and are currently encouraging their now-adult children that they can, indeed, make it out there! When Melissa isn’t out marketing how wonderful Simpson Law Firm is, she and her husband enjoy cooking, working in the yard, and traveling to see family.

Jennifer Ducharme

Community Engagement Specialist / Small Town Girl

Having grown up in a small town in Delaware surrounded by family and friends, community has always been important to Jennifer. While building lifelong friendships within the homeschool community for 18 years, Jennifer often led the way in bringing people together. Whether teaching a class of teenagers, planning a talent show with one of her kids, directing a high school play, or hosting a dance for 150 teenagers, Jennifer loved bringing people together, and fun was always part of the plan! She was often found smack-dab in the middle of all the fun with her kids! She brings that same passion for unifying people to Simpson Law Firm as she seeks to build relationships within the community and determine how we can best serve our clients through community engagement.

Jennifer and her husband, Bill, are parents to three amazing, incredible, intelligent, and fun adult children (brownie points for mom?!?). Many fun years are still ahead as their adult children get married and have kids of their own. Jennifer loves adventure, the mountains, travel, spending time with her friends, 80s music (hold your hairbrush because she’ll use it as a microphone!), but her most favorite spot is at home in front of the fireplace with her family. Or alone. Because quiet is nice, too.

Lilly Parry

Social Media Specialist / Social Strategist

Lilly grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and is currently attending Brigham Young University-Provo. She is a business strategy major and plans to pursue a career in Product Management. Lilly loves all things technology and recently interned for an AI company. Prior to Simpson Law Firm, she worked in events for Herriman City in Salt Lake County, Utah.

As Simpson Law Firm’s social media specialist, Lilly works to bolster our social media presence by creating and uploading social media and blog content. She also assists with first drafts of documentation for our estate planning clients.

In her free time, Lilly loves watching movies and attends college football and basketball games. Being from the Rocky Mountains, Lilly will never pass up an opportunity to ski with her friends and family.

Drafting Team

Ethan Simpson

Drafting Manager/ Semicolon Enthusiast

Is Ethan the boss’s son? Yes. Is he really good at his job? Also, yes. Ethan has a passion for his work that drives him to perform all his duties with the thoroughness and efficiency clients have come to expect from Simpson Law Firm. Every day he remotely connects to the Simpson Law Firm servers to draft the important legal documents that protect your assets and loved ones. He currently attends BYU-Idaho and is on his way obtaining his degree with a Major in English and a Minor in Pre-Law Studies. Once he graduates, he plans on moving back to the Carolinas to pursue a degree in law.

In his free time, Ethan can be found snowboarding at Targhee, sledding the sand dunes, or longboarding in the Tetons; if it involves a board, gravity, and some amount of worry on Holly’s behalf, he’s in. He’s also an avid runner and classic novel enthusiast; ask him about the themes of Frankenstein and he’ll talk for hours. He loves Idaho, potatoes, and the Teton mountains, but he’s excited to soon return to his home in the South to personally serve the families of the Carolinas.

Ann Batagelj

Drafting Assistant/ Renaissance Girly

Ann brings a diverse background and a passion for the arts to our drafting team. With a degree in accounting, Ann's career began in her father's computer business, where she gained early exposure to entrepreneurial operations. She transitioned into the professional sphere as a legal assistant in Utah, later advancing to an estate planning administrative role in Connecticut, and now as a drafting assistant at Simpson Law Firm.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Ann is a vibrant and multifaceted individual. She is deeply engaged with the arts, serving as a volunteer at a local art gallery and supporting local artists through financial literacy seminars. A certified etiquette consultant, Ann believes in the power of good manners to create opportunities and foster meaningful connections. She also enjoys hosting Afternoon Tea Etiquette Classes, playing piano with her dogs, singing, and attending ballet classes at her local studio. An avid supporter of Ballet Manila, Ann ensures she never misses a performance when they are in town.

Operations

Kali Rees

Operations Director / Serenading Songstress

Never in a million years would Kali have thought she would end up an empty nester in South Carolina! She grew up on the west coast, and after graduating from Brigham Young University – Hawaii, she and her husband moved to Georgia for what she thought would be a two-year stint.

Well, 28 years and 6 southern cities later, she and her husband find themselves settled in Tega Cay, SC with two daughters in college (ironically, both on the west coast), three crazy Great Danes, and a job she loves. While Kali hasn’t yet picked up a southern accent, she has picked up a love for boiled peanuts, shrimp & grits, and of course biscuits & gravy. She has an ‘unspoken’ goal that if a restaurant has biscuits and gravy, she is going to try them.

Having worked as an Office Manager for 24+ years, Kali helps keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, focusing on implementing policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations. She also keeps our staff entertained with crazy stories, serenading co-workers (sorry team!), and the occasional moonwalk down the hall (although we don’t have the heart to tell her it just isn’t particularly good)!

Kali is a huge music fan and loves to spend her free time going to concerts, singing in the car, and having the occasional not-so-bashful solo dance party. She has always been a lover of the beach, takes game night way too seriously (you mean you don’t own your own Bingo dabber?), enjoys hiking the area trails, all things cheese, and getting lost in a good book.

John Conlon

Client Experience Director / AP Aficionado

After growing up in the Northeast, John decided he’d had enough snow for one lifetime and fled south. He arrived in Charlotte the day before the first snowfall hit Upstate New York, just in time to laugh at his six siblings who had to deal with it back home.

John graduated from St. Bonaventure University (Go Bonnies!) in 2021 with a degree in English and journalism. He loves classic novels and plays, although he rarely gets the chance to see them. His love for the AP stylebook and the professors who crammed it into his skull have imparted in him a great love for the minutiae of grammar and punctuation; as a result, you might find him contemplating an ultimately inconsequential comma or capitalized word in your estate document drafts for extended periods of time.

After graduating, he worked as a reporter for a daily newspaper in his hometown, writing about everything from county government to how best to sail a giant pumpkin down a river. Mostly, he’s very thankful Simpson Law Firm doesn’t ask him to drive into the woods in the rain or out to landfills in the summer heat for photos.

When he’s not drafting or poring over estate documents, he can be found hiking up mountains, watching and silently critiquing movies, playing tennis or volleyball with his friends, or trying in vain to wrangle his recently adopted and not overly bright dog, Winston.

Jennifer Carpenter

Bookkeeper / Chaotic Cashkeeper

Jennifer grew up in South Carolina and Washington, D.C.  After graduating Midwestern State University in Texas, she moved back to the Carolinas to be closer to family. She and her husband have lived in Tega Cay for 12 years with their two daughters and all their pets.

Jennifer absolutely loves her loud and hectic family chaos! She spends weekends running her girls around, attending her daughters’ cheer competitions, basketball and volleyball games, and volunteering at their schools. She equally loves working, especially with money, numbers, and spreadsheets! She joined Simpson Law Firm because she was eager to expand her passion for all things bookkeeping!

In her spare time, when she isn’t busy number crunching or doing all the family things, Jennifer enjoys LIFE! Spending time with her patients and their families as an ICU and hospice nurse for years made Jennifer realize how important it is to live life to its fullest! You might find her out and about at a local festival, concert, or sporting event, or trying a new restaurant, but her favorite place of all is the beach!

Oliver Smith

Director of IT / Fix-It Felix Jr.

Oliver Smith is the resident technology tool box. With a degree in Digital Information Design from Winthrop University (he doesn't know what it means either) Oliver is equipped to fix software, hardware, website, and other technology issues. Being a Californian by birth, Oliver likes to see nature on his way to work instead of cars, cars, and more cars.

A man of many talents, Oliver is an aspiring author, musician, woodsman, movie buff, bibliophile, lover of space and science, gamer, adrenaline junkie (when it comes to roller coasters), and Disney aficionado.  Oliver will have long conversations with you about the mysteries of black holes or about how amazing the soundtrack for Disney’s Treasure Planet is.

After spending a day running around the office to fix a printer or reconnect the Wi-Fi, Oliver enjoys sitting down to watch a movie with his family or play some board games with his brothers or friends.
