Estate Planning Attorney

Job Responsibilities

As a key member of our Estate Planning team, you'll be the approachable and sharp-minded professional our clients trust and rely on. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Lead and convert consultations into retained clients.

  • Crafting tailored estate plans, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.

  • Design and collaborate with paralegals to provide meticulously detailed estate plans to address every aspect of a client's wishes and financial needs.

  • Collaborating with paralegals and support staff to ensure A+ service is delivered to every client.

  • Participating in networking events and leading seminars or webinars to educate the community about our services.

Qualifications

We're on the lookout for a candidate who brings:

  • Licensure in North AND South Carolina (North Carolina a must).

  • 5 plus years practicing law in an area where you regularly conducted initial meetings with clients and subsequently provided legal services for them.

  • Estate planning experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.

  • Excellent at connecting with people and getting them excited about what we do, ensuring clients feel confident and eager to work with us.

  • Strong attention to detail is essential for success in this role. Candidates must be highly detail-oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy in all aspects of their work.

  • The ability to learn and use different software tools relevant to the estate planning field. These could include legal document generation software, research tools, and client management systems.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary and Bonus: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus a generous performance-based bonus structure. Compensation is tailored based on experience and qualifications, with monthly bonus opportunities tied to collected revenue and individual production. Bonuses are uncapped, providing significant earning potential for high-performing attorneys.

Location

This is a full-time, in-office position, Monday through Friday, with no regularly scheduled work from home days. You will work at both our Charlotte and Fort Mill offices, splitting your time between the two locations. You will also be asked to attend meetings, training sessions, or firm events at either office. In addition, you will be actively involved in networking groups and be expected to participate in seminars and community events. Please note that this may occasionally include evening or weekend commitments.
