Meet some of the new faces around Simpson Law Firm!

If you’ve visited our office in the new year, you might have noticed a few fresh faces around! If not, take a moment to meet the newest additions to the Simpson Law Firm family!

You can learn more about Ethan, Janeal, John, and the rest of our team here!

Ethan Simpson, Drafting Assistant

Before you ask: yes, there is a relation. You could say a passion for law runs in the family.

Ethan joined Simpson Law Firm in December as a Drafting Assistant. Somehow, he finds the time to juggle his studies at BYU-Idaho, where he majors in English and minors in pre-law studies, and his responsibilities of drafting and proofing a variety of Estate Planning documents for our clients.

Ethan brings a keen attention for detail and a dependable work ethic to the table: although he works from thousands of miles (and a couple time zones!) away, his colleagues can always trust him to get the work done and to get it done right.

On the rare occasion there are any complications in the drafting process, you can count on Ethan to reach out in a timely and friendly manner, explaining what information we need and why we need it in easy-to-understand terms.

Janeal Beck, Legal Assistant

While Janeal only recently joined us, it’s hard to imagine life without her at Simpson Law Firm!

A recent graduate of Utah State University, Janeal works with us as she pursues a Juris Doctorate; she hopes to work in elder law once that’s wrapped up!

In the meantime, she remains a regular jack of all trades and lifesaver around the office: you can count on Janeal hopping in to help wherever she’s needed most, whether that be drafting Estate Planning documents, assisting with Estate Administration, or welcoming our clients in person and over the phone with a cheery disposition and a smile.

If you find Janeal working on your documents or taking care of you in our office, you can rest easy knowing you’re in good hands!

John Conlon, Drafting Assistant

Our most recent addition, John has traded in his reporter’s notepad for a legal pad (Metaphorically, of course. Legal pads don’t fit in his coat pockets).

John graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 2021 and moved south in late 2022. With his careful examination of minute details and a great love for grammar and the English language, he works to ensure our clients’ wishes are honored and their families can find peace of mind.

He is the rare person who gets excited by a puzzling piece of grammar or punctuation in a document. If nobody else knows how to fix it, you can guarantee he will be the first to jump for one of the reference books around the office.
